With a growing membership and regular television coverage we are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager who is a high achiever and has the will to succeed in helping us take the next step to being a world leading Governing Body of Sport.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources you will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of the day to day Finance function with responsibility for the preparation of accurate and timely management information and other analyses in accordance with all statutory and internal accounting requirements
- Preparing the annual budgets, the Annual Accounts and any Sport England/Funding bids including audit files and supporting documentation in conjunction with the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources
- Direct line management of the Finance Assistants including appraisals, reviews, coaching and development
The successful candidate will have considerable experience of working in a finance department managing / supervising staff and an understanding of the production of statutory accounts and requirements with regards to VAT. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work on your own initiative, highly organised, motivated, work to strict deadlines, adopt a flexible approach, ‘can do’ attitude and a real team player.
You will hold a recognized accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience. The role is open to candidates from all sector and industry backgrounds.
