Infrastructure Technology Services is responsible for supporting the delivery of one of the core themes within the ITS vision and strategy - a future Private & Public Cloud capability. It's an exciting time to join this fast moving area which aims to become more customer-focused, innovative and agile, whilst allowing change to be delivered more quickly and efficiently.

As part of ITS, the Platform Technology function will be the primary agent for creating and then managing a future Cloud capability and the associated eco-system of future service partners.
Within Platform Technology, the Product Manager will provide deep technical architecture / design expertise for a sub-set of services in a specific ITS "tower" (i.e. either infrastructure technology, platform technology, colleague technology, etc.) by working closely with the GIT Enterprise Architects (AMI team), the ITS Engineering & Transformation team (platform architects), the Infrastructure Delivery team (technical solution architects) and the delivery teams (LBG and Partner) in the ITS technology "tower".
The job holder will assume responsibility for the technical integrity of a sub-set of the ITS "tower" service portfolio. Own the architecture design artefacts (deliverables / outputs), and ensure the services (and underpinning technology) remain fit-for-purpose and aligned with the evolving needs of the business.

Role Specific Accountabilities:
* Work with Infrastructure Delivery to define demand for new services or major changes to existing services
* Govern detailed (technical) design & build performed by the ITS "tower" delivery teams (LBG and Partner)
* Produce designs & blueprints for end-to-end operational services, covering:
- High-level design (input from Infrastructure Delivery)
- Customer drivers & business requirements
- Delivery model: People, process, partners and governance
- Service costs and demand/supply volumes
- Service management to provide the basis for transition into BAU
* Ensures adherence to relevant risk policies and frameworks and identifies, escalates and mitigates emerging risks as appropriate.
* Monitor technology trends and developments and determine the implications for the services and solutions managed by the ITS "tower"
* Own the service innovation agenda in the ITS "tower". Work closely with technology partners, vendors and other external parties to identify and explore innovation opportunities
* Support the client-facing teams (in ITS) with the definition of infrastructure-related requirements and presenting technical recommendations
* Ensure the LBG architecture standards, design principles, templates (blueprints, patterns, etc.) and ways-of-working are adhered to / adopted by all architects (incl. Partner resources) working in the ITS "tower"
* Review partner architecture designs and manage the resolution of design issues
* Undertake peer reviews and review solution architectures produced by project teams, taking into consideration specific business and technical constraints, requirements and dependencies
* Assess the quality of solution designs, ensure delivered solutions conform to the design and use pre-defined quality/performance metrics to assess solution performance
* Serve as a "subject matter expert" for specific areas of technical infrastructure
Differentiators
* Deep knowledge (ideally supported by an industry certification) of one or more architecture frameworks such as The Open Group Architecture Framework, (TOGAF)
* Demonstrable experience as an infrastructure architect or solution specialist with extensive (recent) design experience in a banking environment
* (Ideally) experience with cloud-based architectures (platform-as-a-service) and service oriented design
* Demonstrable technology innovation experience in a multi-vendor environment
