These are exciting times for England Netball as we are currently ranked No.3 in the World. With a growing membership and regular television coverage we are seeking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant who is a high achiever and has the will to succeed in helping us take the next step to being a world leading Governing Body of Sport. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for: - Maintaining a record of all invoices and expenses received and dispatched for authorisation. - Receiving and recording authorised invoices and processing on the finance system for payment. - Adding and editing supplier account details. - Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs and following approval complete BACS/ cheque payments and issuing remittances - Checking supplier statements and overdue demands from creditors and ensuring quick resolution of outstanding issues. - Managing petty cash on an imprest system. Posting all items paid/received onto the finance system - Ensuring the financial records are stored and archived appropriately The successful candidate will be have at least 3 years of working within a Purchase Ledger role. Previous experience of using the Access Accounting Package would be advantageous. AAT Qualification is desirable but not essential. You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organised, an aptitude to multi-task and the ability to work to tight deadlines. It is essential that you can use Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic knowledge of VAT is desirable but not essential.
