Do you have

  • Minimum of 2 years advanced programming of JavaScript and Java application.
  • The ability to install and support JBOSS, Apache and Tomcat in a multi operating system environment.
  • Intermediate Windows 2008 / 2012 and Linux server administration. Intermediate networking knowledge e.g. Firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP
  • An appreciation and working knowledge of Adobe In-Design server.

Our client is looking to recruit a JavaScript Support Specialist. The primary responsibilities of the JavaScript / Application Specialist include the ability to create, amend and support custom Java and JavaScript applications that interact with the core applications following set guidelines and practices. In addition to install, maintain and upgrade all application and services used within our Customers customer base.

The role holder utilises their core technical and communication skills to ensure common questions and problems raised by customers are managed confidently and efficiently.

A high level of self-management is required ensuring assigned projects and service desk queues are managed effectively and all requests are evaluated and actioned in accordance with the company’s Service Level Agreements and procedures. The role holder will need to ensure all requests that are within their remit are logged, prioritised, updated and resolved with full customer participation, including raising items for discussion within the wider team when required to ensure a resolution is gained promptly. Identifying requests that require escalating promptly is a key factor in ensuring support meets customer expectations.

As a member of the Support team you will be expected to build-up and maintain a good level of knowledge across our clients Services and demonstrate this when dealing with issues affecting the operation of the customer’s infrastructure.

Remote support is essential to ensure any requests that can be managed remotely are actioned by the role holder within agreed timescales.
