About the role
At the very heart of our corporate strategy is a commitment to growing fundraising using every tool at our disposal. Working across a range of teams within Individual Giving (IG), this role seeks to maximise income generated through a wide range of fundraising channels, exploring and piloting new Individual Giving products and offers, whilst also working with senior managers on specific projects designed to increase lifetime value, improve operational efficiency and explore untapped opportunities.

About the team
This post is based within the individual giving team, reporting directly to the Head of Regular Giving. The individual giving team is responsible for recruiting new supporters via a variety of media. Relationships with these supporters are then developed to maximise their lifetime value, predominantly by generating cash donations and regular gifts.

Individual giving contributes two thirds of the fundraising division's annual net income target. In 2017 the IG team aims to raise almost GBP 100 million from an expenditure of over GBP 20 million.

The work of the team directly helps to transform the lives of millions of people in crisis around the world. Recruiting and retaining our donors while motivating and inspiring them to give is essential to our continued success.

About the person

You'll need to demonstrate a high level of numeracy alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must have proven experience of working with a variety of marketing channels. You must have the flair to assess new individual giving fundraising opportunities and the ability to take them to market.

You will be an outstanding leader and a highly motivated individual. Most importantly, you will have a real passion for the work of the Red Cross. If you have proven experience in direct marketing in a fast paced and dynamic environment, along with vision and a natural flair for fundraising, then this might just be the role for you.
