Senior SITS Application Support & Development Specialist x 2 IT Services Salary in the range of £39,108 to £43,551 p.a. incl. L.W. We have an opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated individual to play a key role in the operational support and enhancement of the student administration system (SITS). You will develop support and maintain generic database objects including tables, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures/packages and link servers using SQL, T-SQL/PL-SQL. You will also have experience in object oriented programming languages such as C++/Java as well as Web technologies such as html/CSS/JavaScript. You will ensure existing systems and interfaces are running optimally, and relevant system patches and updates are applied as required, and the ongoing development of the environment in line with defined application roadmaps. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or demonstrable and significant experience within the HE Sector. You should have experience of managing, motivating and developing a team of SITS developers and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deliver change with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong client facing skills with a professional attitude and experience of planning, prioritising and organising multiple streams of work with a focus on the achievement of customer satisfaction are essential.
