Senior IT Tech
My client has a growing and developing IT sector and is looking for a professional and proficient Senior IT Technician.
As a Senior IT Technician, you will primarily involve being a 2nd/3rd line support expert and will also be required to assist the Service Desk Manager in lead projects. They are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of problem solving and always seek to provide the right solution and always with the “bigger picture” in mind, using a systematic and analytical approach.
You will have no direct reports so you must be committed and ensure your own personal development plan coordinates with the IT’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities·Assist the IT Service Desk Manager in maintaining and supporting the ICT infrastructure to meet with business defined Operational Level Agreement (OLA) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) ·Support the daily backup ensuring any failed jobs are resolved as quickly as possible and reporting those failures to the Manager·Maintain and use the company IT Helpdesk logging system, ensuring all cabs are up to date and prioritised accordingly so that SLAs are met and Service Desk is consistently delivering an excellent service·Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to the IT Service Desk Manager if necessary ·Be a technical point of escalation for team members, assisting in resolving all queries quickly and effectively ·Lead/assist on IT Service Delivery driven projects ensuring material is accurate and updated regularly ·Provide comprehensive IT support to all staff and clients at all sites and locations (traveling when required)·Be organised and able to prioritise and maintain a busy workload and always strive to provide an excellent service.·Ensure the stakeholder is regularly updated with progress. ·Maintain confidentiality of company data and systems ·Undertake any other duties deemed relevant to the roleRequired Skills·Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)·Educated to A-Level level (or equivalent) in an IT subject
