The Details. - Senior/Lead Android Developer - Central London - Up to £65,000 + Benefits - Permanent The Role. Within this role you will have the opportunity to be the Lead Developer for programming native Android applications. You'll work closely with designers and product owners to define and build new features. You will use your proven knowledge of Android application functionality & limitations to make recommendations during the design and development lifecycle. You will work with Java and utilise your Android product development experience including; application lifecycle, activities/intents/layouts/services, custom components/2D graphics/animations, and SQLLite/ContentProviders. You'll be part of a truly cutting edge digital environment whilst being encouraged to be innovative and autonomous in your approach. The environment feels like that of a start-up/greenfield project, but the difference being you will have the backing of a global retail organisation. Technical. As the preferred candidate, you'll ideally have experience in the following: - Solid Java experience; - Android Product Development; - Understanding of common architectural patterns, dependency injection frameworks and functional programming; - Experience of handling device fragmentation; - Proven Android application deployments, live in the Play Store; - Excellent communication skills.
