Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Account to join their team based in Central London. Job Title: Assistant Accountant Location: Central London Salary: £28,000 - £33,500 per annum depending on experience plus 3% contributory pension and 27 days paid Our client is an SME with a big mission - to create new solutions that have impact and scale for better, thriving societies. If you want stability and predictability, it is not. Assistant Account - The Person: They are looking for a proactive and eager Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team full time. This role would suit you if you enjoy a working in a varied work environment where you can bring a wide range of skills to bear and develop. There is potential to develop into Finance Manager Role over time. You will be an integral part of the team working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the smooth day to day running and improvement of the finance and operations department. You will have SME background with a good grasp of the day-to-day functioning of a finance department and have experience of working in a consultancy business. A good understanding of managing projects and utilisation in essential. Experience of a project management software such as Kimble is an added benefit. Whilst this role is primarily finance focused, there will be opportunities to use your skills in other areas such as operations and IT. Assistant Account - Key Responsibilities: - Raising and processing purchase orders - Identifying and liaising with suppliers about invoice discrepancies - Sales and purchases ledger management - Nominal ledger management - Raising client invoices - Expenses management - Credit control and bank reconciliation - Entering financial information into project management software - Management of project data including invoiced amounts, costs, and utilisation - Assisting with month end and management information preparation - Supporting COO with managing suppliers - Providing finance administrative support and dealing with finance queries - Working with COO on IT & Operations as and when required Assistant Account - Person Specification: - Part qualified AAT /CIMA or QBE - operational level - IT savvy with excellent excel skills - Can work independently with minimum supervision - Great attention to detail - Consultancy industry experience - Understanding of project accounting - Proactive individual focused on system and reporting improvements - Experience of Sage Line 50 Keywords: Accounts Assistant, Accountant, Trainee Accountant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Clerk, Finance Officer, Credit Controller, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Administrator, Accounts Manager.
