Junior Software Engineer Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire Salary: £30K+, DOE Contract: Full time, Permanent Due to continued growth and expansion our client IMC Systems are currently recruiting for a Junior Software Engineer with experience in C like languages & database development to join their expanding team. Required Skills & Experience: - Degree in computer science or equivalent. - Experience with programming in a C like language (e.g. ANSI C, Pascal, Python) and database development. - Experience with Business Applications development & Support. - Excellent communication (written and verbal). Highly Desirable Skills & Experience: - C programming, Linux - Modern Open Source technologies such as Python/Django, MySQL, Linux/Shell scripting - Ability to understand business requirements and prepare specifications - Client/Server application development Experience in the following, an advantage: Software Engineer, Software Development, Application Development, Web Development, Web Developer, Software Developer, ANSI C, Pascal, Python, Linux, MySQL, Shell Scripting, Django About Us - IMC Systems: We are a small, friendly company who have been in business for 30+ years based conveniently near the town Centre of Chesham, Buckinghamshire. We have developed a Retail Business Management Solution (Integrated POS, product management, stock control and Accounting Suite etc.) in-house. The core technologies we use are ANSI C, 4GL API (written in C) for front and back-end ((file based i.e. non-SQL database)) design, XML/TCP/JSON/HTTP for integration based on Linux platform. We are gradually modernising the product while continuing to develop, maintain and support the existing functionality and features.
