Employer Description You will be working for a fantastic Gloucestershire IT Support Company. Currently seeking an ambitious individual for an Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship. Undertaking tasks such as installing and configuring computer systems / hardware, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults or analysing call logs to spot trends and underlying issue. Job description * You will be taking incoming calls from Clients who ring the helpdesk, and offer technical assistance to resolve their IT problems * When necessary escalating calls to other team members for further investigation / complex resolution * Ensuring good records are kept of work completed and advice given Main Duties * To take incoming calls and provide clear, accurate, professional advice to clients * To follow company procedures / guidelines for resolving IT problems * To undertake tasks such as installing and configuring computer systems / hardware, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults or analysing call logs to spot trends and underlying issue * To keep records of work completed and advice given using appropriate company systems * To escalate complex problems for further investigation / resolution * To deal with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times * To complete further education / training as detailed in the apprenticeship agreement Requirements * Excellent communication skills/verbal/written * Calm and relaxed presence on the phone when speaking to clients * Team player qualities Qualifications 3x GCSE or equivalent at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths at grade D or above Other Important Information Daily working hours - Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm, with 1 hour lunch break Benefits * Upon successful 3 month probationary period you will qualify for Private Healthcare and Pension Scheme * 20 Days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays which shall increased (to be discussed with the employer)
