We are happy to present an excellent opportunity for a Chief Engineer to join our established client. This is an opportunity to shape and develop our client and lead their large engineering function. This role requires a balance of general engineering management and project management skills for an investing company.

Part of a National food manufacturing group, the business supply all the major food retailers with branded and own label products from a large complex manufacturing site.

Duties:

The Chief Engineer will report directly to the Site General Manager, taking responsibility for a large team, including three Engineering Manager direct reports. This role will focus on developing the engineering function whilst engaging and empowering the team to deliver improvements. The successful candidate will have a broad remit, taking overall responsibility for engineering, including managing CAPEX investment and striving towards being 'best in class'.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

* Experience as Chief Engineer / Head of Engineering within large, complex manufacturing processes
* Experience within the food & drink manufacturing industry
* Effective leadership and motivational skills with a track record of engaging teams
* Proven track record of delivering change
* Calm, methodical approach
