Currently the firm is looking to expand its employment department by taking on a skilled Employment Lawyer to work in the firm`s London office. THE ROLE For this Employment Lawyer position, the successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3-5 years PQE in employment law practice. Acting for both claimants and respondents, they will undertake a wide range of contentious and non-contentious work such as TUPE, whistleblowing, redundancies, remunerations, corporate governance and discrimination claims. The successful employment lawyer will therefore have excellent client care skills and will be a strong litigator as the nature of the work will require you to conduct your own advocacy in the Employment Tribunals. Additionally, the successful Lawyer may be required to work with colleagues on clientele projects, providing sound advice and assistance on projects, reorganisations and corporate transactions. On occasion, you may also be required to attend marketing and networking activities in order to promote the department and business as a whole. THE CANDIDATE You will:- Be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with around 3-5 year`s PQE in employment law matters; Have consistently strong academics with a minimum of a 2:1 at degree level; Be able to conduct your own advocacy and have demonstrable experience of dealings in Employment Tribunals; Have excellent time management and organisational skills, working well under pressure; Possess strong communication skills; Be IT literate with particular experience using Microsoft Office applications and TFB; Have a flair for business development and marketing.
