OverviewWe are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Scottish law firm based in the heart of Edinburgh. Our client has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice to join the current team.

This is the perfect opportunity for a young individual, perhaps a school or college student/leaver, looking to start a career in the technology sector.

The Role

As well as entering full-time employment with a well-established company, you will be given the opportunity to gain industry recognised Vocational qualification and valued Microsoft Technical certifications through completion of a Modern Apprentice (MA) Programme.

·Full time; 35 hours per week

·Monday – Friday

·Starting salary of approx. £15,000 with room for progression

As an IT Support Apprentice your core responsibility will be to assist in the provision of a 1st line IT support service across the firm’s staff and clients and work with the wider IT team in the delivery of new IT projects.

Key Tasks

·Deliver a high quality, client focused IT support service providing assistance to end-users across a broad range of hardware and software applications.

·Ensuring problems and issues are managed effectively and escalated correctly where appropriate.

·Creation, management and deletion of user access accounts in line with the business requirements.

·Management of IT support systems and upkeep of knowledgebase.

·Provide assistance and support in the delivery of IT projects and taking ownership for ongoing support of new solutions.

The Candidate Ideally you will be educated to a minimum of National 5 level in English, Maths and a Computing related subject.

As an IT Support Apprentice, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

·Approachable, attentive and confident of dealing with people within a professional environment. Personable and good sense of humour.

·Have excellent timekeeping, be proactive and have an attention to detail when dealing with requests for support.

·Have a genuine interest in IT and desire to advance personal skills, knowledge and capability.
