About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated, detail-driven, creative front-end developer. Working closely with the RDC Design team, this role provides a fantastic opportunity for the right person to show-off their abilities and really make an impact within a growing design and communications consultancy.
In addition to front end creation and editing, you will need strong PHP experience and be able to work with MVC PHP frameworks such as Laravel. To keep you on your toes, you’ll be required to assist with the maintenance of legacy client sites that use existing CMS frameworks such as Wordpress and Perch.
Requirements of the Front End Web Developer:
You’ll be brimming with the necessary drive and ambition to take the RDC Dev’ Team to the next level. You may be an existing web developer looking for an opportunity to join a company where your skills will be truly recognised and rewarded, or perhaps a freelancer looking to become part of a team.
You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and be a confident, outgoing, resilient individual with a good sense of humour, able to present, in writing and on occasion in person, to existing and potential clients. You should be able to approach all development projects with a creative and open-minded approach in order to contribute to digital projects that deliver outstanding results.
You must be able to use your own initiative to identify issues and apply solutions to problems. Keeping abreast of the constantly changing world of digital is a must and opportunities to train and learn will be provided.
Also – but not essential - MVC framework experience, Linux administration, Composer, responsive HTML email creation.
