Baltic Training are delighted to be working alongside Biosite to recruit an IT Software Support Helpdesk Apprentice to join a vibrant IT department of 8 based in the heart Solihull.
Welcome to the new age of technology! Biosite specialise in Biometric Access Control Systems with over 80 members of staff! Their clients are at the heart of all Biosite do and they are looking to add to their team of technical experts by recruiting an IT Software Support Helpdesk Apprentice. You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:
- Provide technical support to customers both internally and externally.Pass enquiries to the Software Development team.Coordinating and scheduling out of hours updates for the support team to action.Write accurate, concise and non-technical guides
Training to be Provided:
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in ICT
- Level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
- CompTIA A+
- ITIL Foundation
- Cloud Services and Disaster Recovery
- Coding and Logic
- Level 2 Functional Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and ICT)
Skills and Qualifications required:
- 5 GCSE's A-C grades, including Math's and English.
- Passion for IT.
- Great organisational and communication skills.
The future is bright:
Upon completion of the programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our Level 4 programme and take your training even further.
Salary, hours and benefits:
- £148 per week
- Full time (37.5 Hours per week)
Location and Travel:
This role is located in central Solihull and is easily accessible via the local bus and train stations.
