LYD Recruitment are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-known Facilities Management provider on a site based in Glasgow. Within this role you will be responsible for carrying out all planned, preventative and reactive maintenance with additional small works as and when required - for all mechanical services within commercial premises. This is primarily a static position where you will work as part of a team of the FM team within a prestigious building/complex. Your main duties will include: Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various planned and reactive maintenance tasks and occasional new minor installation work. You will work as part of the FM team, but must demonstrate a sound knowledge of all basic mechanical, electrical or building fabric systems. *Responsibility for the completion of pre-planned maintenance to mechanical & electrical plant. *Working with the legal and technical requirements for the control of Legionella bacteria in hot and cold-water systems and the risks associated with legionella in hot and cold-water systems. *Controlling the risks of legionella in hot and cold-water systems. *Identify susceptible areas within water systems including storage cisterns, Calorifiers, terminal fittings and associated distributing pipe work. *Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks. *Play a key role in planning and completing a range of works associated with building services installations *Complete proactive inspections and any required remedial repairs encompassing either, plumbing installations, electrical installations, heating installations, ventilation systems and any required minor building fabric repairs *Provide exceptional maintenance services to high profile Clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance. The successful candidate must have: Qualified Engineer holding either an NVQ or City & Guilds in the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Heating & Ventilation services. Demonstrate working knowledge of Legionnaires â?~disease and all relevant legislation. Demonstrate a general wide knowledge of building systems. Previous experience of working within a client facing, Facilities Management environment. Happy to obtain a Disclosure Scotland if required.
