About us Soil Association's Food for Life is a national charity that works to make Britain healthier through food. We want to make good food the easy choice for everyone, whoever and wherever they are. Food for Life Served Here ('Served Here'), run by Soil Association Certification as an independently inspected standard for all types of caterers provides a comprehensive framework for improving the health and sustainability standards of food served outside the home, and promoting more local sourcing. Over 1.7 million meals that meet the FFL Served Here standards are served each week day. The scheme provides caterers with an incentive to source more sustainably sources, ethical and local produce. About the opportunity FFL Served Here goes beyond simply being an independently inspected standard for caterers; FFL provides caterers with packages of support, engagement opportunities and a network to become beacons of good food across their settings, whether that be schools, hospitals, care homes, high streets or business and industry. We need to make sure we remain relevant, with an evolving product portfolio across all the areas we work in. This is a really exciting opportunity to lead that work, identifying, developing and implementing the products of the future, as well as those already on offer. We need someone to help us review our existing strong position as well as take new concepts and products to market successfully and building the foundations for their future growth. Your role You will lead on integrating the FFL Served Here licensed scheme and products within the FFL Charity; providing key market insights and managing the development and review of all related Served Here products You will play a key role in managing the operational relationship between Soil Association Certification and Charity relating to Served Here licensing and business development. You will ensure we launch our current pipeline products successfully, and review our existing portfolio, making use of clear and effective project management processes to do so. You'll also be identifying and developing the next phase of new products, building concepts and taking these to Market. About you We're looking for an experienced product development manager who knows and understands the processes involved, and is highly skilled in delivering new products to market effectively. We need someone who can develop product concepts, test and pilot these to ensure a strong pipeline for the future. You'll have demonstrable experience within a new products role and of taking products to market successfully (either consumer or business). Knowledge of food and/or certification would be an advantage but more important is being able to work across diverse groups of stakeholders and ensuring products are developed in an inclusive manner.
