This fast growing company is looking for a Software Development Team Lead to work alongside and manage their growing software development team operating on Teesside. This is an exciting role carrying considerable levels of both responsibility and freedom, whilst offering a high level of intellectual stimulation. The Role: The Software Development Team Lead will be expected to manage the differing interests of the parties involved in the software development process. Whilst this is expected to be a challenging role, you will be able to set in place the template required in order to grow the company into a large well-functioning organisation. The envisaged job split is that you will spend 70% of your work time writing software with the balance managing your team whilst building and putting in place the structures needed to support expansion. This is expected to be a role suited to the most exceptional and adaptable professionals only. About You: The Software Development Team Lead we are looking for will already understand how important it is to have personal fulfilment at work and will be determined to allow their team to experience the same positive culture. You will be an individual that enjoys solving problems, but one who also likes helping people and paying attention to the details. Keeping you and your team focused on delivering improvements to our existing products, as well as developing new products for our demanding client base, will provide ample opportunity for you to grow personally. Success in the role will be supported by the following: - Knowledge of Java (or ability to quickly adapt to Java from an equivalent coding language) - Developing and managing SaaS (Software as a Service) products - Inter-personal skills to support the management of your team - Strong planning / organisational skills - Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems - Knowledge of physical and cloud based server management - Knowledge of the Apache Web Server, SQL and Tomcat Servlet Container would be useful Remuneration: Strong basic salary based on previous experience, plus up to 10% performance based bonus, pension plan with enhanced company contribution and opportunity for future shareholding If you are ready to apply, then please send your CV via this job board.
