Put your degree and experience to work and make an immediate impact as a Software Engineer (level III) with LexisNexis Risk Solutions The Job This is an exciting, challenging position to work on big data linking and data analytics within an elite team of technologists at LexisNexis. As a Software Engineer III, you would help to design and implement enterprise wide big data solutions on HPCC Systems. This is stimulating and rewarding work as you will be taking billions of records and creating something profoundly useful from them. Accountabilities - Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the data project on HPCC Systems: designing, developing, testing and deploying - Communicate and collaborate effectively on assignments with both technical and non-technical staff - Work with petabytes of complex datasets containing billions of records - Review, organize, and analyze statistical data to assist with research projects - Analyze and interpret data from different sources; create a decision summary for business or support related questions - Perform data analysis, data model design, data linking, implementation, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintenance of several applications - Contribute to design sessions, quality testing, and code reviews - Work with other departments and team members to ensure the integrated system meets quality standards - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications - Degree in computer science, math, statistics, or equivalent technical discipline - Experience with ETL tools and processes - Highly analytical, aspiring data scientist who enjoys learning about various data assets - Creative and innovative approach to solving problems - Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate big data and to be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to the stakeholders - Ability to think critically and be detail-oriented, but also understand the big picture - Ability to work independently and within a cooperative team environment - Solid verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Solid understanding of data mining, ETA or statistical methods - Proven background of technical work experience - Experience with databases and big data concepts The Company At LexisNexis Risk Solutions, we believe in the power of data and advanced analytics for better risk management.
