Director - Detailed Infrastructure Design Oxford, London, Bristol, or Birmingham Salary - £85,000+, plus benefits RPS Group is an International Consultancy employing around 5,000 people worldwide. As one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary consultancies, we are working on many high profile Planning, Engineering, Water, Waste, Transport, Project Management and Environment projects and require innovative and motivated staff. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious Director with extensive proven experience (at least 10 years) in the detailed design of highways, drainage (including preparing flood risk assessments), and utilities, to lead, manage and grow RPS' Transport & Infrastructure Design business across the UK. Ideally located in our Milton Park office south of Oxford, and must be willing to regularly travel between our UK offices. You must be capable of delivering technical excellence, meeting our client expectations, managing profitability of the operation, maximising staff productivity, and developing staff through mentoring and training. You should have: - Extensive experience of managing projects/resources - Operational experience with responsibility for profit and loss - Full understanding of health and safety legalisation within our field of business Skills / Experience - Full knowledge and hands-on experience in the detailed design of highways, drainage and utilities - Extensive experience of working with private sector developers and their consultancy and contracting teams - Programme management capabilities - Commercially astute - Negotiation of supply chain contracts Additional Requirements - Strong leader - Able to motivate and guide junior staff - Excellent communication skills - Proactive and problem solving skills - Numerical skills - IT literate - CAD, Microdrainage etc. and ideally Revit or similar Qualifications - UK Civil Engineering Degree or similar - Chartered Civil Engineer & Member of the ICE - Recognised project management qualification desirable This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your talents and make a significant contribution to the RPS' Transport & Infrastructure Design business across the UK.
