Internal Communications Graduate - Amazing company Wembley Salary up to £25,000 plus an amazing benefits package Our client a multiple award winning 'Best Employer' construction company requires a Graduate to join their dynamic Marketing/Communications dept based at their HQ in Wembley. Purpose of the role: The purpose of this role is to assist in the preparation and dissemination of communications across the business. This will range from monitoring social media feeds to taking content from blogs and other sources to prepare a variety of communications for different audiences. As the teams are growing so fast, systems and processes are changing, so some tasks may change as a result. The individual will have to be adaptable to this and able to focus on maintaining quality while new procedures and tasks bed in. KEY DELIVERABLES OF THE M&C TEAM: Internal CommunicationsSupport the leadership teams to produce and publish strategic internal communications, work with colleagues from across the Group to publish informative news and updates from each of our offices, teams and sites, whilst also stimulating debate, collaboration and knowledge sharing via Yammer and our intranet. Strategic Planning, Business Improvement & Elevated StandardsStrategic development and implementation support to Group and business unit leadership teams - This includes support on strategic planning, identifying primary business improvement requirements and delivering effective change management communications, campaigns and adoption activities. Manage 'The Company Way' standards programme - This includes maintaining The Company Way website, generating new standards and promoting the adoption and delivery of standards by operational teams. Brand Management Own the development, deployment and maintenance of the Group's brand and that of each business unit - This is actioned through the maintenance and communication of comprehensive brand guidelines, templates and installations, plus effective ongoing support to drive high standards of brand adoption and compliance. External Marketing Elevate the company brand and deliver effective, targeted external marketing activities to support the delivery of business objectives - This will include the development and maintenance of the Group's news/capability rich website, management of all social media channels, delivery of strategic business development campaigns and activities, support external events and production of award submissions. Main responsibilities Assist in the preparation and writing of marketing & communications support materials: Update our intranet with stories, events and posts from across the Group businesses. Help support the improvement of existing legacy materials. Monitor and follow up on Yammer posts from site teams to create articles for use in a monthly newsletter. Assist in researching, analysing and writing collateral for various communications. Support the Marcomms Team in ensuring that brand guidelines are adhered to across the business Compile articles/blogs from internal focus groups to provide a platform for sharing & promoting the work done/decisions made by these groups. Provide support with ad-hoc internal presentations and communications where required Organise team meetings to help each business unit produce standards for the Company Way, specific to their specialist works. Proofreading & editing standards written by the operational teams into the prescribed format of company. Using InDesign to produce PDFs of each standard to upload to the website. Use the CMS system to keep the website updated Proof read/quality assure all writing as required. Any other duties as may be required by the demands of the role. Desirable skills and Experience Good communication, team working, excellent organisation, self-reliance, energy and resilience. The ability to write clearly and persuasively, achieving the appropriate balance between technical accuracy and appropriate communication media and styles. Highly organised but flexible, with an ability to meet tight deadlines and to work well within this energetic team. Be able to communicate effectively with operational and functional teams across the business in order to gather and update information on our showcase projects and initiatives. Experience of working in an engineering or technical environment is an advantage. Experience of working in the construction industry is an advantage. Experience of working in a business development/marketing and sales environment is an advantage. Experience of using the full Microsoft Office suite is essential.
