Oakwell Hampton are currently assisting one of the worlds leadingproviders of advanced location-based solutions (GPS, laser, optical and inertial technologies)in their search for Software Developers to join a growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a company that creates state of the art software using the most up to date technologies You will report into the Development Manager developing quality software, for the market place, using best practices and agreed quality processes, specifications and timescales. Duties - Ensure all software is developed in line with defined company quality processes and coding standards. - Work closely with Product manager and support team to address customer enquiries. - Ability to take the ownership of a project from start to finish. - Desire to t ranslate electrical requirements, standard documents and specifications into features and processes / algorithms. - Develop quality market desirable software to meet the requirements of product specifications. - Develop quality software in accordance with agreed timescales. - Produce all code in accordance with Agile methodology, current good practices and company coding standards. - Participate in bug fixing and code reviews using Crucible. - Participate in software deployment process. - Thoroughly unit test all code developed. - Assist with the production of user stories, documentation and development plans. - Ensure all tasks worked on during the day are updated on daily basis in Jira. - Provide assistance to other team members. Essential Skills - Excellent Microsoft C# .Net development knowledge with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). - Proven track record of software development working on commercial software products , minimum of 4 years - Practical experience of using .Net core, common communication protocols (such as HTTP and REST APIs) - Experience of working with Crystal reports, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Crucible, Bamboo, Installshield and creating build scripts. - Strong verbal and written communication as well as established team working skills - Practical knowledge and experience of Agile methods such as Scrum/Extreme Programming and conducting code reviews - Good knowledge of MVVM, MVC and other architectural patterns. Desirable - Good knowledge of Micro Services, Swagger, Swashbuckle, JSON, Docker, Rabbit MQ, EC2. - Expertise in Building Services industry in particular electrical software applications. - Good knowledge of 2D graphics. - Experience of Microsoft Entity Framework and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), SQL, No SQL databases, ASP .net, Angular - Web based and mobile development including Javascript & HTML5 - Experience of working in multinational organisations. - Working under ISO 9001/TickIT Quality System or similar.
