Harborne Academy is the first unique specialist Health and Science Academy to be formed in Birmingham. Our facilities are state-of-the-art having opened in 2014 and include the latest Samsung Technology through our new Samsung Digital Academy for Teachers. Through our sponsor - Birmingham Metropolitan College, we have strong links with further and higher education routes.
The Academy is on a journey to excellence and was judged by Ofsted as 'Good' in all areas in June 2017. Ofsted recognised that pupils across all subjects and years are making stronger progress and the quality of teaching has improved the outcome for our pupils.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, outstanding teacher to join our team and to build on our success so far. We are keen to consider applications from ambitious and successful science teachers looking to develop their career in Science.
You must possess excellent teaching skills, the ability to work collaboratively with team members and a keen desire share ideas and improve standards to make a real difference. You will need the drive to bring professionalism and enthusiasm to the range of Science courses offered. A flexible attitude towards teaching in the department and an appetite for involvement in developmental work is essential.
