Purchase Ledger Manager
Our client are a forward thinking and rapidly expanding organisation with their Head Office based in York. Due to a recent period of extensive growth and acquisition they are now looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Manager on a temporary to permanent basis.
Your New Role
To manage purchase ledger transactional processes including invoices, expenses, petty cash, credit card and payments
Ensuring supplier payments are made in accordance with terms
Ensuring supplier statements are reconciled on a monthly basis
Ensure the purchase ledgers reconcile to the creditors control accounts for each company
Manage the team of purchase ledger clerks
Review and check data for errors and accuracy
Train and develop the team, organising individual meetings to review performance and to support with future development
Establish and develop controls to keep up with business demands and improve processes
To integrate seamlessly, newly acquired practices’ purchase ledger transactions and functions into the Group’s processes and strategy
Manage the administration requirements of the department
To update monthly transactional data to ensure processing levels maintained/improved
To support the Head of Transactional Finance towards the achievement of the Group’s strategy, goals and objectives
You will be an experienced Purchase Ledger Team Leader/Manager with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have the ability to manage, develop and direct a team whilst undergoing regular increases in workload & headcount. You will have the ability to pick up new systems quickly and ideally have experience in using Sage 50 & Sage 200.
