Working for a leading oil & gas price comparison business, the Digital Acquisition Manager role will be leading the digital acquisition channels for the business. PPC is a significant marketing spend for the business but this person will also be growing out the display, re marketing, affiliate and social media channels. The role is reporting into the CMO of the company and will be based in Kings Cross, London.

Client Details

The client I am working with is a price comparison website within the energy and natural resources sector. They are looking to hire a Digital Marketing Manager into their growing marketing team. This role will manage the digital acquisition channels for the business, mainly PPC, display, affiliates, programmatic and social media. The role is based in London (Kings Cross) and will be reporting to the CMO.


Role of the Digital Acquisition Manager:

  • Lead our Digital Acquisition Marketing (PPC, Affiliate Marketing, Display, Re-marketing, Paid Social)
  • Develop the strategy and plan
  • Create and manage campaigns across all channels, including developing a clear structure for the company's PPC campaigns, ad groups and keywords
  • Build custom audiences at an advanced level, e.g. for RLSA use
  • Constantly test and learn across all activity to optimise ROI
  • Seek out new and effective ways of driving growth
  • Own the tracking and evaluation of success of all Digital Acquisition Marketing
  • Own the tracking solution and ensure that we can track, de-dupe and evaluate all sales, including working closely with analytics colleagues to produce attribution analysis
  • Own the reporting of campaigns, across all KPIs, to maximise ROI
  • Generate performance insights via the use of analytical tools (mainly Google Analytics)
  • Work closely with our design, SEO and development teams to develop quality landing pages
  • Forecast and manage the Digital Acquisition Marketing budget, working closely with our Finance team
  • Act as an expert to communicate market news with key stakeholders


Requirements for the Digital Acquisition Manager:

Have a proven track record of success in Digital Acquisition Marketing and ideally be:

  • Certified with both Google AdWords and Bing Ads
  • Proficient in the use of Google AdWords and Bing Ads and able to use the Google AdWords Editor
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing
  • Highly commercially aware
  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of Digital Acquisition Marketing
  • Highly numerate and analytically minded
  • Be a good team player and excellent communicator
  • Have a positive, can do attitude
  • Be self-sufficient and able to work without supervision
  • Must be able to take the initiative and get things done (quickly)
  • Graduate level education ideally with a Digital Marketing qualification
  • Experience within Oil, gas and energy sectors is not essential

Ideally with:

  • A basic understanding of the use of scripts and business data
  • Basic knowledge of Google Tag Manager

Job Offer

Up to £50,000 plus benefits.
