Trade Compliance Analyst (Temporary)

Based in Darlington, County Durham

£13.13 per hour

Our Client, a global manufacturing organisation located in Darlington, is currently looking to recruit a Trade Compliance Analyst to work on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will gather and prepare license, registration and benefits applications and documentation to support import and export activities.

It is essential that applicants are able to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level including the use of look ups and pivots.

This is a full time role paying an hourly rate of £13.13 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research and monitor import/export laws and regulations, specifically related to the licenses and registrations required to operate and apply Customs benefits.
  • Prepare documentation to support the importing and exporting of materials and applicable benefits in the country of assignment.
  • Distribute updates and summaries to appropriate supply chain and business unit contacts.
  • Monitor import/export activity for all business units in the assigned geography.
  • Gather, enter, and manage import/export data (including classification data) for the assigned geography.
  • Draft management reports on import/export activities.
  • Gather all necessary documentation for import/export licenses.
  • Draft applications for licenses and registrations in the country of assignment.
  • Submit applications, including those with applicable benefits, upon review by supervisor and monitor approval process with appropriate governmental contacts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with appropriate governmental organisations, brokers, vendors and other external resources.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level including the use of look ups and pivots.
  • Have experience within customs compliance, customs bureau, freight forwarding or import supervision.
