We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant for this central London based not-for-profit organisation, this role will support the fundraising and income generating directorate within this well know charitable organisation. You daily duties will include: - Assist the budget holders in the preparation of the income and expenditure budgets - Provide financial information and reports to the teams during annual budget setting in preparation for review meetings - Assist the divisions in the preparation of the divisional quarterly income and expenditure forecasts - Monitor and review forecast information received from teams for accuracy and completeness. Investigate and engage the teams in correction of errors or omissions - Monitor divisional financial results against forecasts and budgets and identify and investigate performance variances - Develop value added reporting and analysis to inform divisional decision making - Support and review the reconciliation of restricted income on a monthly basis for areas of responsibility and investigate and resolve discrepancies - Book monthly accruals and prepayments and deferrals for income and expenditure - Support the Division in producing and managing forecast, year-end and period end processes The successful candidate will be a part qualified accountant who is continuing to progress with their professional examinations. You must have experience of working in a management accounts function with exposure to the full financial cycle including accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis and commentary. It is essential that you have strong influencing skills whilst possessing first class written and verbal communication skills. This role will suit a self-starter who has ability to work on their own initiative and offers the opportunity for someone to progress and develop within the team
