Environmental Impact Assessor The role: We are seeking an Environmental Impact Assessor to work for the UK's largest Water and Wastewater Company on an initial temporary basis until at least end of March. Working in the Incident Avoidance team, you will support the business in the continued improvement of environmental performance through the reduction of pollution incidents. This role is focused on the root cause analysis of pollution incidents in order that environmental impact is fully understood and correct categorisation of pollution incident severity has been applied. You will analyse pollution data to identify area and opportunities for continuous improvement, supporting the team with developing and delivering learning to achieve this Where inaccuracies in pollution incident reporting and recording are identified, this role requires you to use the evidence available to construct compelling cases that will positively influence our stakeholders. To do this, you will be working closely with operational teams and the wider business. You will make a critical contribution to our environmental Key Performance Indicators. In Return: Based in our client's Reading head office, we are offering an hourly wage of up to £16 per hour. You will be working in a high profile and dynamic role which provides broad exposure to senior management and thus great future potential. What are we looking for? Do you have an understanding of environmental management? Are you aware of environmental legislation? Knowledge of the environmental impact of pollution (particularly to water) would be desirable but not essential as training and development will be given to the successful candidate. If you do, then look no further. We are seeking a meticulous individual who has the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure. Your attention to detail must be on point and will be essential for identifying anomalies. Your communication skills will be second to none. You will also have experience with data analysis and manipulation. Experience of pivot tables and forecasting would be advantageous but not essential. Candidates who meet some, but not all of the criteria, have a genuine interest in the environment and an eagerness to learn are encouraged to send a CV as you may still be considered for a developmental role within the team.
