The Business Intelligence Analyst is required to understand all sources of data and define the Logical Data Model. In this role, you will work with stakeholders from all business areas and related third parties to capture, document and implement reporting and business intelligence requirements. In this role, you will need to have an in-depth understanding of the business, its needs and available data to deliver solutions to the business using appropriate tools. needs and strategy, as well as all Company available data to deliver solutions using appropriate tools.

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst you will:
  • Cover a broad spectrum of reporting systems from tactical implementations on existing datasets through to definition and delivery of new strategic systems. All operational and retail systems are in scope, for example SAP, Hybris, legacy, AS 400 & RS6000 across all business areas
  • Work effectively with external delivery partners to deliver reporting and Business Intelligence solutions using a range of tools and datasets from SAP, Hybris, Limitless Datawarehouse
  • Deliver tactical and strategic reporting and business intelligence solutions across multiple business areas concurrently
  • Ensure delivered solutions are fit for purpose
  • Analyse the requirements and proposing options for the presentation of information in the optimal format i.e. Reports, KPI’s, Dashboards etc.
  • Defining new Data Model and construction of a ‘Business view’ from existing data
Skills and Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
  • Awareness of concepts around management and use of large datasets
  • Design of processes to consume and integrate data from multiple sources, structured and unstructured
  • Understanding business requirements and delivering pragmatic solutions that add value
  • Experience in design and implementation of Extraction, Transformation & Load (ETL) processes
  • Presentation of analytics in reports, dashboards and KPIs
  • High level of precision and attention to detail
  • Problem solving and the ability to anticipate issues and respond to unforeseen changes
  • Excellent team working skills and the ability to work and communicate with people at all levels (written and verbal)
  • The ability to prioritise and manage tasks
  • The determination to meet deadlines
  • Problem solving and the ability to anticipate issues and respond proactively to unforeseen changes
  • Awareness of the commercial pressures on businesses
  • Skilled in a Relation Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server or Oracle
  • Skilled in a Reporting toolset such as SQL Server Reporting or Crystal Reports
  • Skilled in a BI presentation platform, preferably Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience in presentation of data in Excel e.g. Pivot Tables, graphs, charts etc.
  • Ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Business information systems or Data Sciences
