Financial Planning Accountant BLUF54648 Circa £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus benefits Wimbledon Our client is recruiting for a Financial Planning Accountant to join their Head Office Team based in Central Wimbledon. About them: Our client is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. They believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries. About the Role: The Central finance team provides financial accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, management accounting, treasury, financial systems, processes and control structure to support our £95m national operations. It also provides financial services to support the four divisional finance teams enabling support for the four hundred services across the UK. The role covers the full financial planning remit ensuring that the annual budgeting, regular forecasting and strategic and ad hoc planning exercises are planned, co-ordinated and reported on consistently in line with agreed timetables. The role will also provide management accounting support to business expansion in support of the organisation's strategy. Additionally, the role will provide financial resource when assessing, planning and implementing any future merger or strategic partnering opportunities. About You: In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will be a professionally qualified accountant. Ideally you will have worked in a large service sector environment and have had experience as a management accountant and/or business unit financial business partner. You will now be looking to gain a full overview of an organisation and to take ownership of key internal planning initiatives. You will be keen to obtain the exposure to senior management and external stakeholders that this role will entail. They are looking for an individual who has commercial acumen, excellent communication and presentation skills and the ambition and confidence to work at a senior level. You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and be able to work on your own initiative and take ownership of tasks. Experience of working in the third sector is desirable and an affinity with the objectives of United Response a pre-requisite. Strong systems skills with a significant knowledge of reporting databases and Microsoft Excel will be essential. Experience of working with market leading planning packages would be an advantage.
