Application Support Specialist - Dynamics AX, Axapta, X++, 2nd line support, 3rd line support, troubleshooting, enterprise, technical, functional, analysis, communication, perseverance, ERP, ERP systems, shared service center, testing, service packs, patches, hot fixes, user support, AX 4, AX2012, Customer service, CRM, TFS, analytical, rollouts, training, production, windows server 2008/2012, SQL, SQL 2012, BestMix, Paragon, Format, MES, C-Series, prism, Sana, Mansys, TFS, QlikView - Cambridgeshire - £32K - £38K per annum + package Our leading client requires an energetic Application Support Specialist to join their application support team serving as of part of the 2nd and 3rd line support for their Enterprise Business Applications and growing platform of Digital Applications. Role Objectives: - Provide extensive Subject Matter Expertise (both technical and functional) of the Enterprise Business Systems and Corporate Digital Platforms. - Support the planning and executing of acceptance testing, quality assurance testing, data migration, roll-out, and documentation efforts, as needed. - Perform hands-on fixes at the server or desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware and configuring systems and applications. - Identify and help perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of updates, service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software, and protection software. Essential Skills: - Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to users with a strong focus of understanding business priorities. - Proven ability to construct and maintain excellent documentation with varying levels of detail targeted at different audiences. - Strong analytical skills required with the ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs, identify creative solutions and develop new strategies and procedures. - Experience with developing and troubleshooting web applications including knowledge of integration of systems, custom web services, servers etc. Desirable Skills: - Experience with various facets of project management - planning, regular communication, coordination of tasks, testing, rollout, training, documentation etc. - Understanding of systems development life cycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance. - An interest/understanding/knowledge of Big Data; Knowledgeable in statistical techniques with advanced Excel skills.
