Job Description

The role

We have an opportunity for a permanent Service Delivery Manager to join the team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the services provided by our supply chain which our responsible for delivering core information and technology services to Highways England.

Day to day

. To build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

. Supply advice, guidance and support in relation to the ITIL Service Operations Delivery Model

. Liaise with colleagues and customers, building effective relationships to develop efficiency and contribute to the continuous improvement of services

. Coordinate the development, setting of standards and policies to be implemented by the service suppliers

. Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and save costs

. Ensure the current change process is managed effectively

About you

. Experience of working in a complex multi-vendor outsourced IT environment within the SIAM model is essential

. Accustomed to partnership working and stakeholder management

. Ability to prioritise to meet tight and changing timelines

. Experience of leading a team and building capability

. Excellent communication skills in a range of mediums to a diverse audience

. Experience of successfully managing projects, and the ability to work within a recognised project management framework (Prince 2)
