Expat Wealth Advice - Bournemouth - Part-time AdministratorThe role is to provide part-time administration support for an IFA / business owner. This might be ideal for someone looking to study for adviser qualifications whilst working part-time, or someone with children looking to work around school hours!

Expat Wealth Advice is a small business providing independent financial advice to British retirees living in Europe, focusing on pensions and investments. We help most of our clients via phone, Skype and email as they live abroad.

Our clients have usually spent their working life building savings, investments and pensions. As we primarily advise retirees, we really are being trusted with their life savings.

As a result, we take very seriously our responsibility to provide our clients with the best advice and service, to help make sure they don't run out of money during retirement, and in many cases are ultimately able to pass on good inheritances to their loved ones and children. Whilst like all businesses we have to make a profit, our primary motivation is to help our clients, who have put their trust in us.

In your role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating new client onboarding and existing client servicing - liaising directly with clients, product providers and an external compliance department.

In doing so, ultimately it will be your job to make sure the business runs smoothly and clients receive great service.

Hours:

  • This is a part-time position for 16 hours a week, working from our new office in Winton, Bournemouth.
  • There is some flexibility around how these hours are structured, but they must be spread over 4 days and work must take place during typical business hours.
Salary:

  • The salary is 20,000 – 24,000 per year full-time equivalent. (Pay will be on a pro-rata basis)
Required Skills:

  • Very organised and methodical - you like following checklists and processes
  • Excellent with technology
  • Good phone manner with clients
  • Problem solver who will act pro-actively to resolve issues
  • Reliable with excellent references
Required Experience:

  • 2 years previous experience working for a financial adviser or
  • 2 years experience working for an investment or pension product provider (or other financial services experience where the work is very relevant to pensions and investments)
Example Work Tasks: (full job description will be provided to candidates ahead of interview)

  • Acting as the first point of contact for client phone calls and emails
  • Processing and pro-actively following through new business cases and pension LOAs
  • Managing client requests (for example withdrawals, change of address etc)
  • Drafting recommendation reports from templates provided (advanced paraplanning not expected)
  • Creating cash flow reports using software
  • Producing investment assessment reports using FE analytics software
  • Calling clients to pre-complete fact-finds and risk questionnaires
  • Scheduling client meetings for the adviser and preparing material for these meetings
  • Organising monthly client newsletter
  • Organising company support initiatives for charities
