Junior-mid level PHP Developer; PHP, MVC, HTML5, CSS3 Hammersmith (W14), London. Salary circa £30,000-£40,000 + Benefits. An opportunity for a junior-mid level PHP Developer has arisen with a highly successful, international consultancy who provide a wide range of business-critical software, digital solutions and technology-based outsourcing services to over 500 clients across a huge range of sectors! We are looking for PHP Developers who have: - Have a good knowledge of OOP (Object Oriented Programming) in PHP - Possess a good understanding of MVC frameworks (ideally Laravel 4.x) - Have experience/understanding of MySQL, including optimising existing queries - Ability to investigate, understand and support legacy code - Possess a working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 - Possess a good understanding of JavaScript (including AJAX using jQuery 2.x/1.x) - Be well versed with source control such as Git - Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Nice to have, but non-essentials: - TDD (Test Driven Development) knowledge using PHPUnit. - PSR code compliance knowledge. - Knowledge of ITIL support model and processes - Understanding of programming patterns and processes - Experience using JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS preferred) - Dependency management knowledge (Composer, bower, grunt, gulp etc.) - Knowledge of Virtualisation (Puppet, Vagrant etc.) What will your role as a junior-mid PHP Developer involve? - Consulting, investigating, and resolving tickets raised by service desk - Suggesting service improvements and proactively action improvements - Responding to/solve tickets within agreed SLAs - Developing solutions in a scalable and maintainable manner - Providing input into proposals, white papers, service plans, and processing documents - Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, contributing to team development and company capability.
