Baltic Training are delighted to be working with Ideal Business Services to recruit for an Apprentice Software Developer to join their existing team.

Ideal Business Services client specialise in custom software development for intermodal, container logistics, warehousing, shipping ports and airports. They develop software solutions to help drive their customers business forward. Some of their clients include IBL Bulk Liquids and Freightliner. Formed in the mid-1980's this organisation now has 25 years' worth of experience within the industry. Some of the solutions they work with including passenger management systems and shipping port management software.

They are new looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join their successful business.

About Apprenticeships

Duties
You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Software Testing.
  • Basic programming.
  • Software support for clients.
  • Any other admin duties as required.

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development
  • Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
  • Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Systems and Principles
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT)

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Passion for programming.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and VB.Net.
  • Excellent written English.

The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £132 per week.
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week).

Location and travel
Their office is located in the Hindley area of Wigan and is a short walk from Hindley train station.
