Anatwine are looking to bring in a Senior Release Manager to ensure that all aspects of significant releases both technical and non-technical are considered together when deploying to the production environment. This vacancy is Anatwine's first dedicated Release Manager, therefore you'll have scope to define new processes, improve efficiencies and potentially grow a team. Duties and responsibilities: - Liaise with development, testing and other IT stakeholders to: - Build and manage a robust release pipeline for regular and ad hoc releases - Enhance the automation of code deployments to ensure that deployment tasks can be shared among team members - To provide support resolving issues with deployment to environments - Install, configure, test, maintain and monitor critical services at infrastructure, OS and application level - Perform system application deployments without fault - Perform Linux system administrator tasks - Write and maintain Cloudformation, Chef and other scripts - Always implement security best practices Experience and Skills: - BSc in Information Science/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field - 4+ years of experience in a system administration/engineering position - Experience of release build and deployment in a collaborative environment - Experience of working with development teams - Experience of build and deployment toolchains - Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef/Puppet - Demonstrated strong proficiency in systems administration (Linux) and network administration (DNS, Load balancing, and VPN). - Strong understanding of the application stack (HTTP protocol, load balancing, proxies, REST) - Experience with at least one of the following languages (Java, .NET, Ruby, Python, Perl) - Solid networking knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills - Excellent communication, analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills - Experience of using containers such a Docker in test and production environments
