Our Worksop client has a new role for an Assistant Accountant. This is a permanent full time position working as part of a team. The right person will ideally have had experience in lots of the duties below and it would be great if you're AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA. Duties that you will have involvement in will include: Quarterly preparation of VAT returns Balance Sheet reconciliation Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs The reconciliation of Fixed asset control accounts Managing the capital approval processes Producing Monthly Accounts for overhead cost centres Assisting in the preparation of cost centre budgets and forecasts Reconciliations and processing of prepayments and accruals Overseeing and assisting in the completion of all bank account reconciliations Ensuring year end schedules required for tax packs are completed on a monthly basis Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with other group companies Processing Intercompany Journals Replenishing and reconciling petty cash Management of Company paid credit cards Who should apply? As already mentioned, the right person will have as much of the above experience as possible. You'll be AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA and there will be full support from the client with this. This is a global business who work at a phenomenally fast pace so you need to be able to working quickly and accurately and have really good communication skills.
