Sponsorship Account Manager

Salford Professional Development are a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Salford and provide training to both public and private sector professionals. Our courses, conferences and events are first class and we allow individuals to improve their career by attending our events. We are looking for passionate and hungry sales individuals to join our established and hugely successful sponsorship sales team.

Role Objective

To both generate and retain business for the sponsorship sales team, including contacting prospects to articulate the sponsorship package opportunity at Salford Professional Development events. The Sales Executive will use a number of tools including email, telephone and social media to identify the correct target audience and develop strong client relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To secure new clients
  • Generate business through the management of a sales pipeline
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets and ensure the revenue target for each conference is met.
  • Build a strong client portfolio in order to drive repeat bookings each year.
  • Reports to: Sales Director
Person Specification

  • Experience in sales (at least 2 years)
  • Experience working in advertising / sponsorship role is preferable
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills
  • Money motivated
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Comprehensive analytical skills
What’s the earning potential?

  • We offer a basic salary of £24k depending on experience with the opportunity to earn over £40k within the first year
