Financial Accounting Manager BLUF54647 Circa £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits Wimbledon Our client is recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager to join their Head Office Team based in Central Wimbledon. About them: Our client is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. About the Role: The Central finance team provides financial accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, management accounting, treasury, financial systems, processes and control structure to support our £95m national operations. It also provides financial services to support the four divisional finance teams enabling support for the four hundred services across the UK. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role has full responsibility for providing an efficient and effective financial accounting service to the organisation. The role will lead and develop the payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash/treasury functions to ensure that they run efficiently. Additionally, the Internal Auditor and Systems Accountant will report to this position. About You: In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will be a qualified accountant with proven team management and development experience. You will be technically up to date with a practical knowledge of FRS 102. Experience of managing the preparation of annual financial statements is desirable. You will have a high level of integrity, honesty, respect and empathy. You will be prepared to make decisions and recommendations for improvement and happy taking responsibility for outcomes. Exposure to high volume transactional environment within a multi-contract service sector organisation is ideal with experience of service based not for profit operations desirable. Staff management experience, with the ability to build and lead a large team, encouraging cross-learning and consistent service delivery is a pre-requisite. You will be dynamic and self-motivated, and have the ability to motivate your team and develop a strong group with high engagement. You will be confident and effective in your communications and have the ability to influence others and build strong working relationships.
