Job title: Learning Support Co-ordinator Location: Crystal Palace Salary: £24,053 to £25,496 plus £1,791 London Weighting Permanent, Full-time Capel Manor College is London's only specialist college for land-based studies and an internationally renowned learning resource for those interested in Horticulture, Animal Management, Saddlery, Arboriculture, Floristry, Garden Design, Countryside and the Environment. We are currently looking for a Learning Support Co-ordinator to join our vibrant Student Services department at the Crystal Palace campus. You would be supporting students with a variety of learning needs to access the curriculum and college life. These is a varied and rewarding role for someone who is equally comfortable supporting students to access classroom based learning one lesson, and practical landscaping or animal management activities the next! Ideally you will have experience of working with students with disabilities and learning difficulties and/or knowledge of one or more of our vocational areas. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and co-ordinating support packages for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing guidance to other staff members, arranging annual reviews for students and managing a team of Learning Support Assistants. Training can be provided if the successful candidate does not have experience in one or more of these areas. The role will also involve 3 days contact time with students and this will include in class support, 1:1 or small group support. This truly is an exciting role for an individual who can think outside the box and use a variety of skills to ensure our students feel fully supported in college.
