An Eltham based Primary School are looking for an experienced specialist SEN HLTA to join their friendly team and support a child who has just joined their Reception class.

The child has yet to be assessed for an EHCP however the school have identified areas for development that they would like the appointed HLTA to focus on. These are:
• Attention
• Learning and understanding

The child requires support to help them focus on the tasks at hand and the instructions and explanations being given to them. The school believe that the child will particularly benefit from engaging, calming sensory activities.
This is a HLTA position as the school are looking for someone who has the ability to support the class teacher by planning differentiated activities for this child in conjunction with the EYFS and Reception class curriculum.
The school would ideally like someone who is either a qualified Early Years worker with SEN knowledge or perhaps a qualified teacher who is looking to take a step back on some of the responsibilities of a class teacher and take up a HLTA role.
