Position - Warehouse/Operations Technician Location - Sheffield/Rotherham Salary - £20,000 - £23,000 depending on experience Job Summary The main focus for this role is to support in-house and external operations and logistics activities. This involves organising shipment of materials and equipment to customer and manufacturing partner sites, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting product development by testing experimental samples. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Pro-actively collaborating with team leader to define materials/equipment shipment plans. - Tracking deliveries, ensuring courier bookings are confirmed and shipments have been received on time. - Maintaining accurate inventory records, raising Purchase Orders and restocking products when needed. - Following all safety procedures and ensuring all operations are carried out safely. - Carrying out the necessary safety checks prior to commencing any work. - Following instructions from the line manager to ensure tasks are completed satisfactorily on time. - Carrying out routine tasks accurately, following strict methodologies and reporting the obtained results to the line manager. - Participating in the testing and validation of prototypes and machines alongside members of the science and engineering teams. - Performing tests on samples produced internally or by external manufacturing partners to generate reliable data and support R&D activities. The successful candidate will be pro-active with can-do attitude and must be able to work well under pressure as this role requires quick adaption, analysis procedures and learning about the new technology applications currently under development. You will be working with science, engineering, operations and logistics teams to help in the development of new technology platforms and products. There will be a requirement to prepare reports, control stock and operate analytical equipment.
