Desktop Support Engineer – Managed Services

Salary: £28,000 - £36,000

Hours: 09:00AM to 17:30PM, Monday to Friday

Location: Aldgate

Your new role

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be part of an extremely fast paced managed services team in a highly technical, ITIL environment. You will gain experience working with a number of high-profile clients, across multiple desktop and server technologies.

You will be responsible for responding to and remotely diagnosing, and resolving, 1st and 2nd line desktop support calls within our SLAs. You will work closely with our world class 1st line technicians, 2nd line engineers and 3rd line specialists to ensure client satisfaction.

What you’ll need to succeed

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a busy customer facing helpdesk role
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 Framework
  • Comfortable and confident with troubleshooting desktop support/VDI issues
  • Proven track record of working from your own initiative

Key technologies:

  • CITRIX or VDI environments
  • Exchange/Office 365
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server
  • Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
  • SCCM
  • Sophos
  • Microsoft application packages
  • MAC Operating Systems

Ideally you will possess an industry standard certification (MCSA, MCDST, CCA etc.) or a relevant degree. Experience of working within a Managed Service Provider would be beneficial.
