ACCOUNTS MANAGER / BOOKKEEPER
SALARY: Circa £25,000 Basic (DOE) + Benefits
LOCATION: Based in Kings Hill offices in West Malling, you should be living within easy daily commuting distance.
This is initially very much a practical hands-on role, dealing with all aspects of the financial management of the business, learning and understanding how the business operates, and bringing onboard currently outsourced financial functions.
Over time, as your role progresses and develops, you may be involved in broader aspects of the business, and helping provide the financial expertise and support to formulate future plans and strategies to develop and grow the business.
Your broad range of duties and responsibilities, will including:
* Sales ledger including raising of sales invoices
* Purchase ledger, inputting of invoices and paying suppliers via BACS
* Bank reconciliations
* VAT returns
* Submission to the Inland Revenue including Year-End Returns and Monthly PAYE Payments.
* Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets
* Credit control
* Dealing with customers and suppliers
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Liaising with external accountants.
You will be an AAT Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager (intermediate AAT qualified, equivalent or qualified by experience), eager to get on in your career and ideally with experience gained within an owner managed / SME business environment.
You will have demonstrable experience of working within an accounts environment, with the ability to work on your own initiative, excellent written and verbal communication, excellent accuracy and attention to detail, and strong all-round IT Skills.
Your current/previous position, or the type of role you are looking for could include; Accounts Manager, Book Keeper, Part Qualified Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Team Leader, Accounts Supervisor, or similar.
