Position - Engineering Helpdesk Support Location - Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire Salary - £25,000 - £32,000 depending on skills and experience We have an Engineering Helpdesk Support vacancy located at our site around the Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire area. You will provide remote support for customers and engineers using CNC Machine Tools predominantly Punch and Press Brake. The Engineering Helpdesk Support will diagnose and solve electronic, hydraulic and software faults with CNC punches and press brakes over the telephone and remote diagnostics: Your duties will include: - Spare part clarification - Manage and plan service activities in the field - Support with retrofits and machine upgrades - Communication with internal and external customers regarding dates, missions and follow up of problems and issues that have occurred - Documentation of service activities The ideal candidate: - Experience with servicing CNC sheet metal working machine tools (not just maintenance) - Preferably CNC Punch and Press Brake knowledge / experience / qualifications - Ideally, a minimum of two years service experience within the industry - Ideally have an electrical / electronics qualification or to have completed an apprenticeship in electromechanical engineering - Computer literate with knowledge of networking as an advantage - Experienced in bus systems e.g. ASI, Profibus, ProfiNet, CAN preferred not essential - Experienced in servo drives - Bosch and Siemans - Capable of working to close mechanical tolerances - Prepared to spend nights away from home - The holder of a full clean UK driving license What you can expect: - A competitive salary dependent upon relevant experience - Company vehicle or car allowance where applicable - Healthcare & Pension scheme - Holidays (increased with length of service) - 39 hour week with paid overtime - Frequent training in dedicated training centres mainly in Germany and Austria To apply for this Engineering Helpdesk Support vacancy please email an update CV to Amo Rai, Senior Automation & Robotics Consultant
