Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Fleet Engineer who will have great involvement in the maintenance of Rail Freight Wagons. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to work for an innovative and independent Rail Freight Wagon Maintainer where you will be able to develop and grow your career as a Fleet Engineer. Location (s): Immingham (The candidate will be field-based) Role and Responsibilities * Provide day to day Engineering / Technical assistance as appropriate. * Produce and interpret engineering data and recommend required actions * Review engineering documents including standards, specifications and technical documents, interpret requirements and recommend actions. * Manage the ECM engineering process as required. * Manage the Safety Performance Monitoring process including analysing data, recommending actions and producing reports. * Review maintenance specifications; make recommendations based on information analysis and support engineering changes. * Undertake regular site visits to audit and inspect wagons to ensure wagon quality is maintained in line with the Maintenance Specification. * Attend derailments and incidents as required and produce engineering reports in support of the company and our customers. * Attend customer meetings as required by the contract managers. * Resolve engineering issues both internally and externally relating to allocated customers The Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience and an excellent understanding of Rolling Stock (Mechanically and Electrically), confident with customer facing and fully competant in articulating technical issues. Rolling Stock experience is essential as this is safety critical work. Essentials - Rolling Stock experience. - Client facing experience. - Experience in producing technical documentation. - experience in providing technical support. - NVQ level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent. Desirable - Experience on working on Freight Vehicles Other job titles will include; Graduate Project Engineer, Junior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Support Engineer, Fleet Customer Engineer.
