Centrally located within the Inner London borough of Westminster, my client school is a lovely and successful 3 form entry Primary school. They are currently looking to add support to their Year 3 class and add a 1:1 SEN TA to their team. The child requiring support is in Year 3, and is moderately autistic.

PERSON – SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT:

The ideal candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant post is a bright and ambitious Psychology graduate who has a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs. You will be patient, calm and caring, with a “can do attitude”. To be considered for this post you will be a graduate with a 2:1 or higher from a leading university and will have a strong academic record overall. You will have experience supporting a child with autism, and will therefore be able to hit the ground running.

JOB SPECIFICATION – SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT:

The role will see you supporting a lovely year 3 pupil who is moderately autistic. She is verbal, but struggles with Speech and Language and in engaging with the class teacher at times. You will be required to support the child for the full academic year so you must be dedicated to the role until July to be considered. This role, although challenging is highly rewarding. It will give you some excellent experience and really help to progress your career plans whether they be to teach or to go in to Psychology.
