Maintenance Engineer Field Service Engineer Based in Runcorn Permanent Salary -Good salary + car and Benefit Scheme Are you aFieldMaintenance Engineer or interested in becoming one?DATS are looking for a MaintenanceField ServiceEngineer to join our client based inCheshire area This position fits within the service side of our client's business. Our client is a specialist engineering company that designs Environmentalthermal oxidizer units for air pollutioncontrol . The service side maintains a long term relationship with their clients maintaining their systems (and indeed equipment supplied by other suppliers). Therefore the role will cover the whole of the UK. What does the job involve? - Reading and understanding technical specifications / drawings. - Take corrective action towards electrical / mechanical related issues. - Willingness to travel throughout the UK, as required. A typical week would involve Mon - Wed on site with Thurs/ Frid working from home with occasional days in their office in Runcorn. - It is very much a client facing position so good communication and organisation skills are required. - Working on industry leading equipment. Main Duties & Responsibilities:- - Maintenance service visits for clients' plant - Boilers, abatement plant, instrumentation calibration. - Responding to service calls. - Test, repair and upgrade a wide variety of equipment throughout the UK. - Fault finding. - Offering advice and technical support to customers. - Reporting directly to the Operations Director. What skills and experience do you need? This is a multi skilled position both mechanical and electrical . You will be responsible for the maintenance of boilers, burners, abatement plant and associatedinstrument calibration . As an establishedField Maintenance Engineer you should possess the following. ( However there will be a 6 month training shadowing period where the new Technician willreceive training and familiarization ) :- - NVQ levels 2 & 3 in Service & Maintenance (preferable). - Electrical - 17th Edition would be beneficial. - Ability to read and understand technical specifications / drawings. - Take corrective action towards electrical / mechanical related issues. - PLC experience - Allen Bradley / Siemens would be beneficial. - Commercial N Gas safety - would be beneficial. - Commercial burner knowledge circ. 300 kW to 2000 kW - beneficial. - Commercial plant - required. - Willingness to travel throughout the UK, as required. - Good communication and organisation skills. - Motivated to work on industry leading equipment.
