Problem Manager / database solutions analyst required by one of the UK’s largest developers of clinical systems and solutions to the UK healthcare sector - used across GP surgeries, hospitals, primary care and frontline emergency services. You’ll be investigating complex software defects, determining root cause analysis and working closely with developers fixing system data and code defects which affect the ability of front line NHS and medical professionals to do their job.

The core role is taking complex software defects, working with development to establish root cause analysis, helping with fixes, resolution etc. - part fixing system data code, part 3rd line support and part problem management!

The role:

The businesses core system sits at the heart of their business and customer solutions, used by 1000’s of health professionals across the UK.

You’ll play a pivotal role in striving to continuously improve the experience of customers in terms of reliability, stability and performance - achieved through reactive problem management and proactive analysis of diagnostic and utilisation data.

Working closely with both support and development colleagues you’ll play a key role in problem solving from investigation through to root cause analysis and solutions implementation.

Although the business is developing a new range of software and applications the existing system still needs to be maintained and ongoing legacy issues rectified:

·the service ethos is one that sees a continuous shift towards service automation and diagnostics, a key focus being data analytics and trending to identify issues in delivery of services before they affect customers

·you’ll need a keen eye for statistical analysis and an ability to think outside the box

·joining a team of 5 made up of data, performance and solutions analysts

·play a pivotal part in continuously improving the experience of customers in terms of product reliability, stability and performance - achieved through the reactive role of problem management and the use of diagnostic and utilisation data

·working in an ITIL and Agile environment, working closely with both support and development colleagues, you’ll play a key role in problem solving from investigation through to root cause analysis and solutions implementation

·ownership and resolution of technical issues

·analysis of diagnostic data sources

·development of diagnostic systems and tooling

·part 3rd line support and part problem management

Their systems are used across GP surgeries, hospitals, primary care and emergency services giving access to in-field real-time patient data. With around 250 staff across 3 locations they’re part of a larger global healthcare technology group with 4000 staff in 12 countries.

You have a strong, confident and friendly personality, a keen eye for statistical analysis and an ability to think outside the box. You’re calm and determined and cope well under pressure.
